CAPTURING VALUE IN DESIGN-INTENSIVE START-UPS
13 OCTOBER 2015 (3.00 – 5.30 PM)
Venue: Sala Arena, PoliHub – Startup District & Incubator
Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, via Durando 39, MilaNO
The seminar deals with the topic of design for new ventures. Cabirio Cautela will present the results of a research project on the role of design in creating new ventures, discussing how to feed and sustain this role. Indeed, since the mainstream literature focus on the features of technology-driven start-ups, Cautela will picture an identikit of a “design-driven start-up” pointing out the main differences.
Then, two start-uppers will describe the story behind the launch of their companies (Comftech and Gourmet Italy).
The seminar is intended to be interactive, involving all the participants in asking questions, and presenting their opinions and points of view.
The seminar is hosted by Poli Hub (http://www.polihub.it/), the start-up incubator of Politecnico di Milano.
